Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed lorries for the transportation of goods to designated destinations
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring punctuality
- Load and unload cargo with care, adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays
- Uphold high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles, particularly flatbed lorries or similar large vehicles
- Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving
- Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving (e.g., LGV or HGV licence) is essential

Requirements:
- Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
- Willing and confident to drive a large van
- High level of attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Friendly, people-focused attitude
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible to meet operational demands, including early starts and occasional late finishes
- Willing to complete a DBS check
- Able to provide 5 years of references (employment, education & gaps need to be accounted for)
- Must have lived in the UK for 3 years, or be able to provide a police check/report
To note:
- 45 hours per week
- Mon – Fri
- 33000k per year (£14.10 per hour)
- temp to perm for the successful candidate
- training provided
- Up to 31 days holiday
